Epifania Beach Resort is a family venture which converted the 1.5 hectares of coconut land after the onslaught of Supertyphoon Yolanda (International name – Haiyan) in the Visayas Region on November 8, 2013.
The real estate is being owned by the late Epifania Amantillo Labado, it is being inherited by her successors, her children. One of her children is Mauricio A. Labado Sr. who bought the other share of the property from his siblings, he is married to Olympia T. Labado, they have eight (8) children, Edwin, Mauricio Jr., Aileen, Analyn+, Rogelio, Amy, Ariel and Arnel.
During the 90’s the place used to be the family’s hangout where they can have picnics on the beach front or reunion of some other relatives. One of the family’s income came from the copra produced by the land, since the area has a lot of coconuts.
Because of the huge devastation brought by Supertyphoon Yolanda to the place almost all its coconut trees were uprooted, hence the family decided to convert the area as a beach resort. At first, they constructed a wide hut which served as the main building where they can host beach wedding receptions, parties and other occasions.
There are also kiosks near the beach to accommodate beach goers. Due to the instant public demand they constructed three (3) single detach huts which serves as room accommodation to guests who may take an overnight stay. The resort accepts food orders at a reasonable price.
To maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the resort they improved the rest rooms and hand washing facility provided with water. The resort has a minimal entrance fee of 10 php per person. To serve the guests well they opened a store inside the resort where they can source their needs like toiletries, snacks, softdrinks, bottled water, etc.
The resort is being managed by Rogelio Labado and assisted by his brother Arnel Labado. Continuous development of the place is the foresight of the family.
