BEST night in Town

Reggae Night at Epifania Beach
Reggae Night at Epifania Beach

Last January 13, 2022 we hosted a Reggae Night featuring Banal and Dogards, and I am so happy and thrilled to share with all of you that it was lit and a huge success.

In this post, I will be sharing photos and give you a concept of how Filipinos celebrate fiesta and share some updates about the successful event (“it was a banger” according to my husband lol).

Just a little back story of how we came up with this idea and why we decided to push through with the event.

My brothers were actually the men behind the success (plus of course my supportive parents), all their efforts paid off and everyone who attended the event loved it.

Why do Filipinos love Fiesta?

January of every year is the time we celebrate the feast of Sr. Sto Niño in our hometown in Marabut, Samar – it is a small town in Eastern Visayas region in the Philippines.

Festival or commonly known as fiesta to many filipinos is the celebration of our patron saint.

Since the Philippines is a religious centered country, we have embraced the celebration of fiesta from years ago.

The reason why we love celebrating fiestas is because this is our time to give thanks for all the blessings the entire town have received.

Basically, it is a joyful celebration, people cooks delicious food, open their doors to visitors, parade on the streets and enjoying an amazing meal and time with our families and relatives.

Reggae Night

When we all decided that we are going to push trough with this event, I was very delighted.

Not only for my family, but also for all of you because I know how much joy this is going to make you feel and this was such a needed moment to be re-energize after all the chaos and frustration the pandemic has brought us and just to feel very blissful about the festivity.

After all that is happening in the world right now, I know it’s hard and disappointing in a million different ways, because we have been stuck for like two years and trying to figure out where to pick up the pieces and try our best to start again and keep moving forward.

So, I think it was just right to do something different that would give us enjoyment even just for a night, besides everybody loves a great reggae music at the beach.

I literally won’t mind listening to Bob Marley all day long and just sing along with him “I can see the sunset in your eyes…. ooohh, baby, I love your way.. everyday”

When we were growing up reggae bands or musicians became a big hit, and I remember listening to their songs way back in high school.

It’s chill and very soulful, delightful in many ways specially if you know the songs and you get the chance to sing a long with the vocalist, and these are actually the moments or nights we want to remember.

I honestly missed the vibes and would definitely go back in a heartbeat if I could.

A night at the beach with good music, amazing company and really just enjoying the moment singing and dancing with your friends.

I’m not going to deny I was so jealous when my sister and Dad sent me videos of the event.

While looking at it I could tell already that it was so much fun and everyone had a wonderful time, and that’s exactly the reason why we wanted to do this.

We want to bring joy and happiness to the people and the entire community.

We want to contribute by putting up an exciting event that would give people unforgettable memories.

We want you to have fun even just for a night and wake up the next morning trying to remember all the things you did the night before.

We want you to make memories with the people you care the most.

And, we want you to keep coming back and bring more families and friends next time.

Banal and Dogards

Banal and Dogards on Reggae Night at Epifania Beach

Banal – is one of the most famous local celebrity in Tacloban City.

He is a wonderful singer and great performer, and he has been making music for as long as I can remember.

I have heard his songs on the local radio years ago and I have been to his concert several times.

He knows how to entertain people and has been composing his original songs.

My friends and I would always have an amazing night attending and hanging out at his concert.

#YouOnlyLiveOnce was our motto back then and we sure live by it for a few years making the most time in our lives.

Dogards – is a good friend of mine and my brother.

We have known each other since high school because we went to the same school.

He is an incredible drummer and very talented with his craft.

He is living the dream and doing the thing that he loves the most.

We are very proud of what he had accomplished and continue to accomplish, also we want to support him that’s why we want them to perform and why we chose them.

We want to see him continue to make great music that he can share to the crowd.

We want to support local artists and brilliant performers who not only wish to give people an awesome time, but also musician who keeps getting better and better each day.

If any of you are interested to book them for an event, please contact Dogards and message him directly here.
